Tests conducted in May 2002 in-house have proven successful in the recovery and transfer of bitumen (in excess of 2 million cSt) through a process of pumping.

Orimulsion™ was refloated prior to testing and bitumen was then recovered, using the SEVERE ADIP™ skimmer.

Recovered bitumen was then sent through the Foilex TDS 150 Transfer Pump and transferred through 30.5 meters (100 ft.) by 10.2 cm (4 inches) discharge hose then returned to the test tank, as shown in the video.
